Arapgir wooden nailed shoes are one of the traditional handicrafts associated with Malatya's Arapgir district. The face part of these shoes is made of leather and the sole is made of chamois.
What makes the shoe different is that the sole is assembled with wooden nails instead of being sewn or glued. It is stated that hornbeam or baked beech wood is used for wooden nails.
